Monze Town Council is one of the 15 Local Authorities in Southern Province, situated just 190 kilometers from the capital city, Lusaka with the Population of 268,432 as at 2022 census report.
Being a District with a strong agricultural foundation, we take pride in being the number one in terms of cattle population in the country. This presents an excellent opportunity for investment in beef production, milk, and other related industries.
Furthermore, Monze is home to the renowned Lochinvar Game Management Area, a natural wonder that offers fantastic wildlife experiences especially for Bird Watchers as we host the largest bird migration in the Continent.
We also cherish our rich cultural heritage, boasting of six traditional jurisdictions (Chief Monze, Chief Choongo, Chief Hamusonde, Chief Chona, Chief Mwanza, and Chief Ufwenuka) and hosting three traditional ceremonies namely: The Kwanzaa, Samu Lya Moomba and Lwindi Gonde ceremonies stands out as the largest and grandest celebration in our District.
