Monze Town Council is proud to announce that Mr. Oscar Chilanga, Director of Human Resource and Administration, has been officially admitted as an Associate Member of the Institute of Local Government Administrators of Zambia (ILGAZ).

The admission ceremony took place on Friday, 8th August 2025, during a vibrant and well-attended dinner event held in Lusaka.

Mr. Chilanga began his distinguished career in local government in 1993 at Siavonga Town Council, where he served as a Works Foreman. Over the past 32 years, he has contributed to the development of seven local authorities across Zambia including Siavonga twice, Kalomo, Kazungula, Mpika, and Monze twice, holding various key positions including:

– Community Development Officer 

– Deputy Director of Planning

– Water Coordinator 

– Director of Planning 

– Director of Works 

– Chief Administrative Officer 

Currently, Mr. Chilanga serves as both Deputy Council Secretary and Director of Human Resource and Administration at Monze Town Council.

His admission into ILGAZ is a testament to his unwavering dedication, vast experience, and continued commitment to excellence in local governance.
